About Mauritius > Climate

Tere are no extreme temperatures either in summer or winter.

In summer months, from November to April temperatures range from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius, while winter, lasting from May to October, registers temperatures ranging between 17 to 23 degrees Celsius.

Dry and wet seasons are not clearly defined although one can experience occasional cyclones during the wettest months from December to March.

Annual rainfall ranges from 900 mm on the central plateau. Sea temperature in the lagoon varies from 22 to 27 degrees Celsius. Mauritius is thus considered as an all-year round destination.

Clear warm water and endless white beaches, Mauritius makes this tropical dream come true. Its large lagoons lined with fine sand are real paradise to those who want to enjoy the sea or just a soak in the sun.

All around the island, large strips of public beaches offer unbeatable relaxing possibilities during the week and great opportunities to mix with the local population at the weekends.
