Going off for a holiday on a dream island does not stop you from improving your golf skills. Most of the links are spectacular with the sea as background.

A few hotels have excellent golf courses. The golfer can enjoy five 18 holes: Le Paradis at Le Morne, Belle Mare Plage Resort, Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course, the Gold du Chateau at Bel Ombre and The Mauritius Gymkhana Club.

Five 9 holes are also accessible at: Troux aux Biches, Shandrani ( Blue Bay ), St Geran (Poste de Flacq), Maritim ( Balaclava ) and the Sofitel Imperial (Wolmar).

Instructors attend to customers needs, including private coaching. Golf balls, clubs and caddies can be hired.

Visitors have to pay an entrance fee to be able to play. Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course, the latest one to be opened, is set up on its own islet, fringed by white sands with a backdrop of green mountains, truly one of the world's great settings. All 18 holes of this golf course have views over the ocean.
