About Reunion > Climate
The best time to go to Reunion is May-November, when the trade winds keep the island temperatures moderate.
The worst time to visit is December-February, when the temperatures are about 10 degrees and it rains a lot. Cyclones aren't exactly common but can hit any time November-April.
Reunion's annual rainfall is: 150 in/380 cm on the eastern coast and up to 250 in/635 cm in the island's central mountain region. Take a sweater for evenings at any time of year (and heavier gear if you're overnighting at higher altitudes -- it can get freezing at night).
